Trade Post – The International Watch & Clock Magazine, as its name signifies, is a monthly magazine, wholly devoted to reporting news, trends and other matters of interest related to the world watch, their related components, and smart wearable industries. Published out of Mumbai in India, it has been serving this industry every month for 63+ years now, relentlessly providing watch and clock makers, distributors, designers, retailers, ancillaries or anyone connected even remotely with this industry or its trade, with the latest news and information. On a month-to- month basis, the magazine dwells upon news concerning: the Indian and World Watch, Clock & their related Components industry, about the on-going situation of the markets, about events and product launches happening both within and outside India from time-to-time, about new retail showrooms of substance opening in India as well as major metros of the world, as well as about staging of exhibitions and seminars focused at these industries, organizing Buying Missions from India to Hong Kong etc. It also helps in assisting new entrepreneurs and start-ups interested in manufacturing or trading of watches & clocks in setting up their own businesses besides rendering help in providing a reliable bridge between leading world watch, clock and related components brands on a constant basis with business partners of repute based in India as well as with watch and clock collectors and direct consumers. Additionally, since watches at the high-end are also considered on par or as good as precious jewellery items in present-day times, the magazine also covers news about jewellery launches and related events as and when these are staged. Backed by the philosophy of maintaining a strictly disciplined authenticity in its reportage about the developments in these industries from time-to-time, it also presents a month-to-month analyses of these industries and their trade as a whole, besides carrying interviews and the opinions of brand heads which also form engrossing reading material. The Founders

The Trade Post magazine was founded in July 1959 by two entrepreneurs, passionate about watches and clocks, as a modest start, at a time when India did not have its own watch manufacturing units. These two entrepreneurs were the Late. Mr. V.K. Anand and the Former Editor-in- Chief, Late Mr. Mihir S. Kharod. At present, the second generation headed by the present Editor-in-Chief Mr. Hemal M. Kharod (son of Late Mr.Mihir Kharod) along with his team, continue the successful running of the publication.

In its constant drive to encourage good performers and drive talent in the right direction, the magazine has always endeavoured to constantly encourage those luminaries and personalities over the years every year, who have contributed hugely to the growth and development of the horological industry both in India as well as other watch & clock making countries of the world, through instituting by way of appreciation and acknowledgement towards them, Awards such as: the Trade Post Man of the Year Award, Trade Post Technocrat of the Year Award, Trade Post Marketing Excellence Award, and Trade Post Retail Excellence Award that are announced annually, besides the Trade Post Lifetime Achievement Award and the very prestigious Movers of Time Awards which are conferred upon select performers every other (alternate) year who have exhibited outstanding talent and achievement related to the watch, clock, jewellery and associated industries, including Retail and Service Providers. The magazine's chief objective and mission astutely remains to develop the horological industry and trade of India and to help it grow into healthy businesses as well as assisting in building and fostering a long lasting relationship between brands and the trade fraternity and other business channels. Its vision is to continue to move forward towards this goal passionately and ultimately reach it.

Most of all, for the 63+ years wealth of experience it has been proudly backed by, the magazine has virtually travelled through every phase of the industry’s growth, eventually witnessing the evolvement of this industry from nascency to where it has finally reached today. Trade Post is greatly spoken and written about for the role it has all along played through these past decades towards achieving this goal and continuing to maintain it. Besides all of these, Trade Post also attempts hard to excavate and focus from time-to-time on hidden talents working for brands in different operational capacities, and bring their achievements into limelight, highlighting the same in the form of articles written exclusively about their contribution. It promotes all watch, smart wearable and clock brands of all categories and price segments both from India, as well as other countries, besides ancillary makers and service providers to these industries

Its Distribution

The magazine is distributed across India from the North to the South and from the East to the West of the country. It is also distributed in many other countries like Switzerland, France, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Singapore and the United States. Its Target audience comprises: manufacturers of watches, clocks, smart wearables and related ancillaries, service providers, jewellers, personal accessory makers, designers, traders, retailers, distributors, leading corporate and gifting houses as well as watch and clock collectors and of course the general direct consumers. Besides these, the magazine is distributed to the smallest of watch repairers across the country, regardless of their size and capacity.
